How to Identify the Major Menopause Symptoms
There are a lot of different menopause symptoms and learning how to identify all of them is almost impossible. Still, there are some symptoms of menopause that are more common than others. Identifying the major symptoms of menopause is something that every person should do. If you are a woman, then being able to identify the symptoms of menopause will better prepare you for the change when it starts for you. If you are a guy then learning what you can about these symptoms will help you be more sympathetic and understanding to the women in your life when they begin going through their life changes. This article spells out a few of the major menopausal symptoms.

Mood swings are pretty much the most easily identified of the menopause symptoms. This menopause symptom makes menopause look a lot like puberty and early pregnancy (which is kind of ironic). A woman going through menopause is prone to sudden and often, irrational mood swings. She can be absolutely calm one moment. In the next minute she will have started bawling about something that didn't bother her a few months ago and might not bother her tomorrow. If a woman in your life is going through mood swings like these and isn't pregnant (or pubescent), she might be going through the stages of menopause. Be nice!
As far as menopause symptoms go, incontinence is pretty embarrassing. Incontinence is usually a side effect of losing smooth muscle tone.
This happens mostly when people sneeze or laugh really hard. This particular symptom of menopause is experienced differently by every woman. Some women will have a harder time with this symptom than others. This particular symptom can be incredibly embarrassing for some. Try to be patient if a woman in your life suddenly has to run to the bathroom after a sneeze or has to wear panty liners or other protective wear.

This might sound weird, but lots of women say that their natural scents and smells start to change when they start going through menopause. For some women, it is the change in the way the body smells that helps them realize that they are going to menopause. Changes in odor can be a difficult menopause symptom to detect. All the same, if a woman in your life suddenly starts to smell different (and is not using a new soap, deoderant or perfume) this might be a sign of menopause.
Menopause is not a pleasant experience for anyone. Even if you are not the person experiencing menopausal symptoms directly, at some point menopause will have an impact on your life (however indirectly). It is a really good idea to familiarize yourself with the symptoms of menopause. Doing this will allow you to be more sympathetic when a woman you know starts to show symptoms of menopause. As well as helping you learn how to be properly sympathetic, you will also be able to understand what is going on in a woman's body when she reaches a certain age. You might even be able to help the women in your life figure out what is going on when they start experiencing symptoms.
